Installation
- Install the ZIP via Plugins → Add New → Upload, activate, then enter your Suite key under GaiaWP → Media Organizer.
- Open Media → Library → Organizer view. Your existing files appear under Uncategorized — nothing moves until you drag it.
Drag and drop & folder tree
- Click + New folder (nest up to 5 levels: e.g. Products / 2026 / Shoes). Right-click to rename, recolor, or merge.
- Drag files onto a folder — multi-select with Shift/Cmd-click, then drop 200 files at once. A toast confirms the count.
- Use the tree on the left to collapse/expand; the breadcrumb on top jumps between levels.
Auto-funnel rules
Route uploads automatically: Organizer → Auto-funnels → Add rule. Example: if file type = PDF and author = shop-manager → folder Invoices. Rules run on upload and can backfill existing files.
Filters, search & bulk move
Filter bar combines folder + type (JPG/PDF/SVG) + date + author + search text. Select all → Move to… or Add tag. At 10,000+ files keep folders under ~2,000 items each for fastest grid render.
Folder permissions per role
Per folder: Settings → Access — allow/deny by role (e.g. clients see only Client Uploads). Admins always see everything. Perfect for agencies sharing one library.
Migrate from another folder plugin
Organizer → Tools → Import maps folders from popular media-folder plugins in one pass. Run a backup first; the importer reports renamed vs. merged folders.
Elementor, Gutenberg & compatibility
The organized tree appears in every media modal — Elementor image pickers, Gutenberg galleries, Woo product images. SVG uploads are sanitized; Retina @2x pairs stay grouped.
